Breath-actuated means the inhaler releases the medicine when you breathe it in. You do not need to press a canister and breathe in at the same time as with typical inhalers.

Each inhaler has a built-in electronic system that records when you use your inhaler as well as measuring how strongly you breathe in.  This information is sent to the Digihaler app through Bluetooth wireless technology once your inhaler is within range of your phone.  Connection to the app is needed to send the information, but the App does not need to be connected to deliver medication.

Below are a few steps you should follow:

1. Keep your inhaler dry. Do not wash or put your inhaler in water. You will have to replace it if it gets wet.
2. Keep your inhaler clean. If your mouthpiece needs cleaning, gently wipe it with a dry cloth or tissue.
3. Protect your inhaler from extreme temperatures. Make sure you never place your inhaler in very hot, cold, or wet environments. We recommend storing your inhaler at room temperature (between 15° and 25°C; 59° and 77°F).
4. Once you take an inhalation, remember to close the cap and to keep the cap closed during storage.

The dose counter on the back of your inhaler shows how many doses you have left. The dose counter color will change to red when there are 20 doses left. When you see red numbers, you should contact your healthcare provider to get a new inhaler.

Throw out your inhaler when:

ProAir® Digihaler® (albuterol sulfate) (whichever happens first)

• It has been 13 months since you opened the pouch
• The dose counter displays '0'
• The expiration date on the package has passed

AirDuo® Digihaler® (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) or ArmonAir® Digihaler® (fluticasone propionate): (whichever happens first)

• It has been 30 days since you opened the pouch
• The dose counter displays '0'
• The expiration date on the package has passed
